get to know me

Hi, I'm Deivin Velasquez.

I've called South Jersey home for most of my life, but my story really starts on a dance floor. Before I ever picked up a camera, I was a dancer — and that's still how I see the world: in movement, in timing, in the small honest moments most people miss.

I got into photography and videography in Dallas, Texas, out of pure frustration. I was tired of hiring photographers who didn't understand dance — who couldn't capture what was actually happening on stage. So I learned to do it myself, from the inside out. That dancer's eye is still the thing that sets my work apart.

Since then, my work has grown with me. I fell in love with wedding videography, and it's still some of my favorite work I do. I also take on projects close to my heart — event videography, band and concert coverage, senior sessions, and ongoing content creation for a church.

Here's what I care about most: capturing the moments that slip away from us. The honest ones. The in-between ones. I'm not a "pose for the camera" kind of guy — I'd much rather catch you in the middle of something real, and let the emotion bleed right through the photo. Because those are the moments you'll actually want to remember.
